Resolution Research® has a wealth of experience conducting customer
satisfaction studies for major utility companies, which often require thousands
of respondents in both the consumer and business segments. These surveys have
been conducted online (recruit-to-web) and by phone, and required the management
of large customer databases and quotas. Study topics have included future power
supply, support of renewable energy sources, interest in electricity savings &
pricing plans and willingness to reduce energy use, as well as general
satisfaction.
Research Example: Resolution Research conducts a quarterly tracking study that
covers multiple market segments including small, medium, & large businesses,
English-speaking & Spanish-speaking residential consumers and government
clients. The survey (which is about 25 minutes in length) is conducted over the
phone using our CATI system, which also carefully tracks participation and
segmentation. The questionnaire includes topics such as overall satisfaction,
awareness of services, and energy usage. The data is delivered in SPSS and
includes a detailed sample report itemizing the final result of each customer
contact record, which has the added value of supplying updated customer
information.
